Dave Tweedy's works examine memory, disguise, transformation, ritual and revelation in both personal and political arenas. They call on and use imagery from the media and other printed sources. The 'Filling in the Gaps' exhibition is open from 18 July - 10 August 2024.
The Abject Gallery is a contemporary art gallery in Sunderland city centre that exhibits a selection of national and international artists . Located on Fawcett street in Sunderland this gallery is a restoration of a culturally significant building in Sunderland, known for its inks with Joseph Swan and its promotion of literature and philosophy.
WE CHALLENGE YOU TO FIND SEVEN POSTERS OF REBEL WOMEN IN SUN
The Rebel Women of Sunderland project shows some of the remarkable women associated with Sunderland
Freelance artist Kathryn Robertson, who graduated from Sunderland University, created the original illustrations as one of her first commissioned works as part of a project initiated by Sunderland Culture, which also included stories of the women written by Jessica Andrews.
